A race is a fixed 3-lap, 7,200-meter-equivalent sprint decided by a stopwatch, not an endless survival run: the goal is always the fastest finish, and a personal-best finish time is saved locally so every run has something concrete to beat. Traffic cars spawn ahead and scroll toward you at their own independent speed layered on top of your own, so a car that looks safely distant can close the gap fast if you're accelerating hard, and clipping one ends the run immediately — there's no health bar or bump-and-recover here, just a clean crash-or-continue binary.
