Your privacy, kept simple

Playaby does not require an account to play. The data involved depends on whether you play locally, join an online room, send a message or use pages with advertising and analytics.

• Theme preference. Your chosen theme is saved in your browser's local storage so it persists between visits. It never leaves your device or reaches our servers.
• Local gameplay data. Your theme and many scores, tutorial flags and unlocks are saved in this browser. Clearing browser storage can erase them; they are not an account backup.
• Usage analytics. Vercel Analytics measures page usage. When configured, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity also process usage and interaction data; Clarity can record session interactions and heatmaps. • Advertising data. Pages that show ads load Google AdSense, which may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads. See "Advertising" below.
• Display name & country. Online rooms share display names, country flags, moves and game state with other participants through our realtime service. Room records use client identifiers to coordinate connections. Do not use a display name that reveals sensitive information.
• Contact and feedback. Contact forms send your name, email, subject and message to our service. Game feedback sends the game, rating and any message. These submissions are stored using Supabase so the team can handle them. IP addresses are used in rate-limit records to reduce abuse. Do not submit sensitive information.

Playaby uses Google AdSense to show ads that help keep every game free to play. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting aboutads.info to opt out of participating vendors. For details on how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites that use our services.

Cookies and local storage support preferences, gameplay and enabled third-party services. You can clear site data in your browser, which can also reset progress. For Google Analytics, an additional control is the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Third-party services embedded on the site (currently Google AdSense) may set their own cookies too, governed by their own privacy policies linked throughout this page.

Playaby is a general-audience site. Do not send children’s personal information through display names, messages or feedback. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact support so we can investigate and handle a deletion request.

We process form submissions and connection information as described above. No internet service can promise complete security. Contact support about access or deletion of information you submitted; include enough context to locate it, but do not send passwords. Local browser data can be removed in your browser settings.

We may update this policy as Playaby adds features (such as optional sign-in for leaderboards). Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
