Level Devil: Tips for Surviving Every Trap in the 20 Levels
Level Devil is not trying to be fair — it is trying to be funny. Every hazard in the game exists to punish a reasonable assumption: that a platform is solid, that a flag is safe, that the floor stays where it was a second ago. Once you accept that, the game gets a lot easier.
Assume nothing is what it looks like
Cracked-looking tiles are not always the ones that break, and perfectly normal-looking tiles sometimes are. The only way to know is to test cautiously — a small hop onto a tile before committing your full run gives you time to react.
Watch for delayed ambushes
Some of the later levels arm a trap the moment you enter an area, then fire it a beat later. If a section feels suspiciously easy, that is usually the tell — slow down instead of sprinting through.
Fake flags are a one-time gag, not a wall
A flag that is not the real finish will flash a message once and let you pass straight through — it will not push you back or trap you. If you see the fake-out message, just keep moving and look for the real flag nearby.
Dying costs you nothing but time
There is no lives counter and no penalty beyond respawning at the start of the level. Treat every death as free information about where the next trap is, and you will find the twentieth level a lot less intimidating than the first attempt suggests.
